Radon Testing

Radon testing is conducted by a licensed radon measurement technician.  We use the most modern continuous radon monitoring system in the industry.  The radon test takes 48 hours to collect the sample.  Our technology allows us to get the results to you within hours of the conclusion of the test.

About Radon

Radon is an odorless, colorless, invisible radioactive gas that comes from the ground. Radon occurs naturally and is not a result of man-made contamination or pollution. Inside our homes and buildings, the concentration of radon can rise to many times the level of radon levels found outdoors. Radon is second only to smoking as the leading cause for lung cancer. The only way to know if a building has elevated levels of radon is to test.

Great Plains Inspection Company has a Kansas Licensed Radon Measurement Technician on staff.  We use state of the art continuous radon monitors to conduct our testing.  The test takes a minimum of 48 hours.  After the minimum of 48 hours, we can electronically transmit your data to our third-party partners to have them create your report.

The results of your radon test can be back to you within hours of the test being completed.  If you are in a real estate transaction, this convenience can save you days of waiting over other methods of testing where samples must be mailed to a lab for analysis.

The precision, speed, and convenience of the continuous radon monitoring offered by Great Plains adds value to our testing service that many other local providers simply cannot provide.
